Operation Pro Marksman - Pistol was a HUGE success. While we only had 3 members participate, we are only a militia of a handful of volunteers anyway. But ALL 3 members qualified!!! YAY! I (Commie Killer) Being the senior member and longest standing NRA member served as instructor. But The Hammer, also being an NRA member served to confirm scores and sign certificates. A special thanks to the NRA and Winchester for providing the marksmanship program, and to the members who participated! We will continue these kinds of drills to better serve our militia and our community! Congratulations go out to The Hammer, Ma Deuce, and Commie Killer for earning the rank of Pro-Marksman with their pistols! Wear your patches proudly, you earned it!

Well this year's annual Frozen Toe event was "Not So Frozen" but nobody was complaining. Only complaints we had was the ammo shortage! Hope things get better there real fast! In attendance, was myself ("Commie Killer"), "Ma Deuce", "Hammer", "Mafia", and a "Newbie". We had church services first then a quick lunch, then out to the range. Since rifle and pistol ammo was in short supply we mostly concentrated on tactical shotgun training. "Mafia", the "Newbie" and myself fired a few rounds of .38 special, but most of our time was spent on the shotguns. We spent a lot of rounds! "Newbie" fired a shotgun for the first time and got to enjoying herself I think. It is always enjoyable to introduce someone new to shooting! We will have to come up with a good name for "Newbie"! But she will have to earn it! Ha Ha! After shooting "Ma Deuce" treated us to a fine dinner of baked potato soup!!! DELICIOUS!!! After that, I trained "Hammer" in the fine art of pistol ammo manufacturing. We had a good time and everyone was safe! Mark your calendars! Sunday, January 20, 2013! Is the day chosen to be frozen! Time for the annual "Frozen Toe" militia training and shooting event. Rain, sleet, or snow, it will go on, so come prepared! That is part of the training folks, Dealing with inclement weather is just part of it! But in southern Oklahoma you just never know, it may turn out to be a balmy 80 degrees! All part of the guessing game! I am sure Jane will cook something delicious for us all to eat after we are done so be hungry. You can bring your own drinks if you like. Remember, due to Obama's regime there is an ongoing ammunition shortage so don't wait until the last minute to buy ammo! Also don't go "hog wild" and shoot up all of your ammo! keep some back in reserve!! You might need it! I plan to focus on shooting cheap shotgun ammo and .22lr so as not to use up ammo that is in short supply right now. That is my strategy anyway. Hope to see you there!
Well, what can I say. Operation Lumber jack was somewhat of a success. The only casualties were my reload casing bucket and a small tree. Topics of discussion were proper camouflage makeup techniques, proper handgun gripping, of course (as you can see) proper tying of shemaughs. We practiced rifle, pistol and shotgun marksmanship. In attendance was "Angel of Death", "Sledge Hammer", "Mafia", "Commie Killer", and "Ma Deuce". After a successful and enjoyable day on the range we settled back at the house for some yummy nachos "Bell Grande" style prepared by "Ma Deuce". Thanks to everyone who participated! Well, I would have to say that "Operation Decapitation" "went off" without a hitch! At least there were no major injuries! :) We had a good time. Got a lot of good practice in with shotguns rifles and pistols. Lots of good shooting and fun! And even a little pyrotechnics at the end! If you missed it, you shouldn't have! In attendance was "Mafia", "Ma Deuce", "Sledge Hammer" and "Commie Killer". Be sure to check out the "Operation Decapitation 2012" section to check out the pictures and links to videos! You will want to check them out for sure!!! The Memorial Day weekend training event was another success story for our militia. We had some good fun! I trained a couple of newbies on how to safely handle and shoot a firearm. It is always a good day when we get to introduce newcomers to shooting. You can see the pictures in the photo gallery. The most fun we had was blasting 2 liter bottles full of water with 3" 12ga. slugs. The water bottles literally vaporized! I got to let everyone shoot my Mosen Nagant rifle which was fun! Sledge Hammer and I shot our 9mm's some also. There were a few zombies killed as well. I just wanted to invite all Militia members out to the annual Memorial Day Shoot/Training event on Sunday May 27th and Monday May 28th. We will have a quick lunch following Sunday church services, then shooting/training event will commence. Bring your shotguns, rifles, and pistols. I will demonstrate a solar still if time permits. Be prepared to demonstrate your camouflage techniques.
On Monday we will have a lunch with the family. Probably BBQ. See Ma Deuce for details on what to bring. See you there! |
