Now onto "Operation Copper Dead." That's right, "Copper Dead." We called it that because that snake was definitely dead! "Hammer" blew it's head clean off. Operation Copper Head was a success because it was just about the first time I have been on the range in a serious manner since my leg broke. There were only 3 of us in attendance, but we had a good time improving our marksmanship skills as well as our hunting skills. "Hammer" and I set out to find a snake and we did. Not too hard to do around here during the summer. But he was happy with my "guiding" and he got a clean kill. Afterwards we had a nice lunch of homemade taco salads provided by "Ma Deuce." Then after a short rest, we headed to the range to shoot our pistols. "Hammer" was coach for this event, and he did a fine job. My groups went from about 4" to 1-1/2." Way to go "Hammer!" Also, "Ma Deuce" had some training with the Beretta, Glock, and my 1911. "Hammer" displayed his marksmanship skills primarily with his Glock, and I have to say that it is quite an accurate gun! But it is mostly his skill with it. And he was able to coach us enough to improve our groups considerably.
Well, that is about all I got for now. Until next time....
